A new trail with Odoo

In the past, I have maintained multiple blogs on different platforms (Blogger, WordPress, Sharepoint, etc.) and felt that they are not suitable for my needs.
I have even tried building a custom NodeJS application to host my site, while it is very helpful for me to learn the technology to implement a full end-to-end site, it didn't satisfy my needs to have a simple blogging interface which I don't have to code and maintain for long term.
I have started looking for a good open-source solution besides WordPress since I am trying to look for a cumbersome solution that can have backend functionality to do customization in addition to just blogging. I have tried the Odoo app in a container and felt that it has most of the functionality that I am looking for, excluding the customization piece which I have to figure out how to achieve by coding in Python.
I lost data from my last blog due to a corrupted disk which was again related to one of my experiments. It made me realize that I have a poor backup and restore plan. So, I have researched on best options and implemented a backup strategy for all my servers and hoping that this blogging platform (odoo) will stay as my long-term blogging platform.
